05/15/2013 - 2013 Team Aquatic Supplies NB Long Course Open & Canada Games Trials, May 24-26, Saint John, NB

We are currently planning the officials assignments for the upcoming Team Aquatic Supplies Long Course Champs and Jeux Canada Games Trials May 24, 25th and 26th to be held in Saint John at the Aquatic Center. We will have Prelims each day and finals in the evenings so we have 6 sessions and we will run all 8 lanes. Official opening ceremonies will be Friday evening prior to finals, Team NB announcements will be after last Session Sunday If anyone is able to help out; kindly let me know what session you may be available for, and what position you are certified , Please list your level and home club If you or someone from your club who is attending requires an evaluation please advise and we will try and accommodate. Also please remember Swim NB Lane Assignment requirements in accordance with the meet package. Thank you in advance for your help. You will also find a link to meet information below. 05/06/2013 - Summer Student Employment Opportunity

Swimming New Brunswick office in Fredericton currently has summer student employment opportunity for 8 weeks. Please review the job posting attached - if you are interested or have any questions please contact Pat Ketterling at our SNB office. Duties to include: data entry and file management , updating of provincial information, reception , invoicing, assist in preparation Award Banquet and the Top 10 and Open 15 swim camps during SNB AGM weekend- June 8 and 9 in Fredericton NB. Also create benchmarking data for strategic planning, help create an NB Para Record File along with other duties as outlined by the Executive Director of Swimming New Brunswick. Deadline for applications is May 17th with a start date of May 20th.

05/05/2013 - Fredericton Sports Wall of Fame Honors Don & Ruth Hawkes

Congratulations to Don and Ruth Hawkes who were inducted into the Fredericton Sports Wall of Fame on Saturday May 4 at a ceremony in Fredericton NB. Don and Ruth were inducted in the builder category in honor of their many years volunteering with Swimming New Brunswick and mentoring countless officials and club volunteers. In attendance at the induction ceremony to honor Don and Ruth were Swimming New Brunswick's, Paul Berry, Chair of the Officials committee, David Frise, President, Maurice Leger Past President, Pat Ketterling ED, FAST Club Board members Sonya Hull VP, Jenny Adam Past President, Ron Richards, treasurer and Marta Belsh Head Coach and representing UNB Maureen Sparks Special Events , Doug Sutherland and Robin Ferdinand Head Coach for UNB.

04/29/2013 - SNB 2013 AGM - June 8 & 9th, Fredericton, NB

Please find below notice of the Swimming New Brunswick AGM weekend. All forms and information packages are listed below. This information has also been distributed to all clubs via email. Please distribute this information to your swimmer families. Please note the approaching deadline for reservations under the Swimming New Brunswick room block: May 07 2013. Also attached is the selection for the 15 Open performance camp. Please take time to review the nomination forms for the recognition awards that are presented at our Annual Award Banquet. These awards include Volunteer of the Year, Media corporation of the Year and Sponsor of the Year. Please send your nominations in by the May 20th deadline. 04/29/2013 - SNB Host Development Camp #2 in Saint John, NB

42 Swimmers from eight provincial clubs participated in the Long Course Development camp held in Saint John on Saturday April 27 2013. Swimmers from AQUA, BLAST, CNBO, CNS, CVAC, FAST, LES and TIDE participated in a dry land/Team building session followed by two and half hours of long course training. The camp wrapped up with a trip down the Canada Games Aquatic Center slide and for some swimmers, a leap off the 5m platform! A big thank you to Lead coach Brian Woods TIDE and assistant coaches Elise Hache BLAST, Cedric Boiley CNBO, Marcel McLaughlin and Joanna Larocque CNS, Troy Blakney CVAC , Katie Smith and Vikki Halihan FAST and Camille Arseneau LES.

04/017/2013 - Results From Marianne Limpert Team Champs - FAST Captures Title

The Marianne Limpert Team Championships were held in Saint John New Brunswick at the Canada Games Aquatic Center, April 12 - 14 2013. Over 300 Swimmers attended the three day event. A highlight for many swimmers was the presence of the team champs namesake Marianne Limpert at the opening ceremonies. Marianne spoke at the opening ceremonies and then stayed to speak to swimmers and sign autographs! The team championship banner was awarded to FAST. The most improved team banner was awarded to CNBO with CNS a close second.
